Jeremy was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2020. Jeremy completed his pupillage at Skrine and was a partner of its Regulatory Compliance and Financial Institutions practice group before joining the firm.

Jeremy has advised local and international clients on various aspects of laws and regulations enforced by Bank Negara Malaysia including the Financial Services Act 2013, Islamic Financial Services Act 2013, Development Financial Institutions Act 2002, Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 and the Money Services Business Act 2011.

Prior to legal practice, Jeremy served Bank Negara Malaysia for 33 years and held various senior leadership positions including General Counsel, Director of the Financial Intelligence and Enforcement Department, and finally Director of the Consumer and Market Conduct Department.

Jeremy was also the independent non-executive director of Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia, Wise Payments Malaysia Sdn. Bhd, Wise Pilipinas Incorporation and Ombudsman for Financial Services and was the Chief Executive Officer of the latter. Jeremy is currently the independent non-executive director of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank).

Jeremy is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
